Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections to treat pain in ligaments, joints and muscles.

Typically, two or more injections are required, separated six weeks apart. While this approach has been used overseas for many years, it is fairly new to Australia. It has also had positive results for patients with mild to moderate osteoarthritis.

On the day of the appointment, our clinical assistant (who is a fully qualified phlebotomist), will draw a measure of blood. We then spin this in our centrifuge to separate the platelets to be injected into the area of concern.

There will be a gap of around 20-40 minutes between us drawing your blood and performing the injection.
